19th summer camp wraps ups at GGIS

The month- long summer camp at Gyan Ganga International School came to a colourful conclusion on May 17, 2019 (Friday) amidst much gaiety and fun. Children from age of 3 to 17 yrs participated in various activities. The aim was to enable children to spend their leisure time in fun and learn activities therby gainfully utilising summer vacation for value addition in learning. The Chief Guest Chairperson of Gyan Ganga Group of Institution Honb’le D.C. Jain, Director Dr. Rajneet Jain, Secretary Dr. Bhartesh Bharill, Executive Director Dr. Nitin Jain, School Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar Chandel and distinguished dignitaries who graced the occasion. The month long camp wrapped up in a resplendent manner with demonstration of all activities in which campers have been trained like Swimming, Yoga, Martial Art, Aerobics, Horse Riding, Shooting, Skating, Art & Craft Exhibition and many more.

Almost 150 participants from Jabalpur as well as different parts of the nearby area grabbed the opportunity to get training in dance, music, and various sports activities. The experts trained the students to help them excel in their areas of interest. Children learned a lot of art and skills which boosted their confidence. During the camp, children were taught dance, western music, Hindustani Music, Calligraphy, Personality development, Spoken English, Horse Riding, Shooting, Basketball, Volleyball, Carom, Chess etc. The school campus was a hub of rejuvenation, recreation and reinforcement where different activities were clubbed to make students improve their concentration, learning imagination and develop their social skills.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest appreciated and motivated the campers, Parents, School Principal and all the staff members of GGIS for presenting the valedictory function and making it a grand success. He appreciated the initiatives of the school principal for organizing and completing the camp in this fruitful manner.

He emphasized on the importance of such camps, which helps not only in equipping the child during his leisure time but also add ups to his personality by learning so many activities under one roof.

The closing ceremony began with lamp lighting. This was followed by the Saraswati Vandana. There was also a blend of musical performance. There was also a spectacular display of art made by the participants learned during the camp which included painting, cushions, bottle vase, paper vase, jewellery boxes, wind chime, photo frame etc. Children presented a cultural programme which was presided by the parents who also had a very good time.

The school Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar Chandel addressed the students and appreciated their sincere efforts and said that summer camp was an opportunity to hone certain life skills while having fun. It provides a platform for the kids to explore and express their creativity. He also conveyed his best wishes to the children who participated in the camp and he conveyed his heartfelt thanks to each and every member to work for making this programme a grand success.
