Founded in 1946, Rashtriya Military School (RMS), Bengaluru is an English medium boarding school for boys affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi offering schooling from class VI to XII. It aims to prepare the students for entry to the National Defence Academy (NDA) and other reputed defense and professional institutes. RMS operates under the aegis of Ministry of Defence.
The 68 acre RMS Bangalore campus hosts a cadets’ mess, assembly hall, class rooms, residential accommodation for students, separate laboratories for Physics, Chemistry and Biology and Computer and Language laboratories.
Other facilities include multiple play grounds, fully furnished courts, a boxing ring, a judo hall, a swimming pool, an auditorium, a tuck shop, hockey court, synthetic basketball court, a gymnasium and physical training activities such as drill, jogging, running and judo.
Affiliated with CBSE, RMS offers schooling from class VI to XII.

LabsEligibility-
Age – Only boys between 10 to 11 years of age (as on July 1 of the year of admission) are eligible for admission to class VI and boys between 13 to 14 years of age are eligible for admission to class IX.
Education – For admission in class VI, no previous education qualification is mandatory. For admission in class IX, a candidate should have passed class VIII from a government/recognised school before the date of admission to a Rashtriya Military School.
Medical Assesment: Candidates need to undergo a medical exam at the Command/Zonal and other military hospitals as nominated by the Director General of Medical Services prior to admission and only those found medically fit will be offered admission.
Prospectus and application forms can be obtained from any of the Rashtriya Military Schools by paying Rs 350/-(Rs 175/- in case of SC/ST, copy of the Caste certificate to be submitted).
