Overview

Maharshi Vidya Mandir School, Varasiya Road, Bhopal is a coeducational day cum residential school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. Founded in 1992, Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Bhopal is a part of the Maharishi Global Education Movement.

The school was established with an aim to introduce Maharishiji’s Consciousness Based Education System in mainstream school education and is managed by the Maharishi Shiksha Sansthan which was founded by His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. The school boasts 2000 students from class I through XII.

The school motto is “Let us mould your children’s future and prepare them for leadership in the world”.

Campus

The 5 acre school campus hosts a school building constructed as per Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s Sthapatya Ved Design based on Vastu. The facilities include library, reading room, music room, art room, dance room, infirmary, science and computer labs, transcendental meditation hall and yoga hall.

The school also houses a gymnasium, an indoor games room for games such as carom, table tennis and chess and playfields for sports such as cricket, volleyball, hockey, foot-ball and tennis.

Academics

The school has devised its own text books based on NCERT syllabus and uses innovative methods of teaching such as learning by doing, concept learning, demonstration and presentation methodology, dramatization etc. Students and staff members practice Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s Transcendental Meditation. The school follows consciousness based education program integrates the theory and practice of Maharishi Technology of the Unified Field-the self-referral field of consciousness to achieve outstanding results. The following subjects are introduced at every grade level in schools in phases Maharishi Vedic science, social studies, science, mathematics, computer science, physical education, language, arts, music, dance and painting.

General Information

Admission

Minimum age for students for admission to nursery is 2 plus years as on April 1 of year in which admission is sought. Admissions are on first come first serve basis for nursery. For more details on admission, please contact the school office.

Admissions to other classes are subject to availability and selection is based on performance in verbal/written assessments and interview.

Achievement

The school has consistently achieved 100 percent pass results with high distinction in the CBSE Board exams. Students have excelled in the fields of music, dance, sports, painting and other co-curricular and literary activities at state, national and international level.

Accommodation

Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Bhopal hosts fully air-conditioned, spacious and separate hostels for boys and girls. The hostel facilities include a well furnished study room where resident tutors supervise studies every day, indoor and outdoor sports facilities like gymnasium, table tennis, basketball, volleyball and football and a mess that provides hygienic and balanced diet.
