Overview

Founded in 1987, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Gachibowli, Telangana is a coeducational English medium government residential school affiliated with the Central Board of Education (CBSE), New Delhi and functioning under “Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti”, New Delhi, which was established under the aegis of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Education, Government of India.

JNV’s objective is to provide good quality modern education including a strong component of culture, inculcation of values, awareness of the environment, adventure activities and physical education to the talented children predominantly from rural areas.

Campus

The 30 acre JNV Gachibowli campus hosts spacious classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, well-stocked library, computer lab and playground.

Academics

Affiliated with CBSE, New Delhi, JNV offers schooling from class VI to class XII.

All subjects, with the exception of the Malayalam and Hindi, are taught in English in all standards.

At senior secondary level, JNV offers two streams: science and commerce. Under the science stream, English, mathematics, physics and chemistry are compulsory and biology and computer science are optional subjects.

Extra-curricular activities:

Alongside academics, JNV encourages students to participate in sports and other co-curricular activities. Co-curricular activities form a very important part of the total personality development programme of JNV Vidayala.
