Overview

Bai Avabai Framji Petit Girls School, Bandra West, Mumbai is an all girls day-cum-boarding school affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi. The school was founded in 1913 with 40 students as a boarding school for Parsee girls with only the primary section. In 1963, the school started accepting day scholars from all communities. Over the years, the school has evolved into a full fledged higher secondary school with classes up to class XII. The school presently boasts approximately 1120 students.

Campus

Bai Avabai Framji Petit Girls School campus is spread across seven acres of lush green land hosting 14 classes from playschool through class X. There are state-of-the-art primary and secondary school libraries, audiovisual room, well equipped laboratories for physics, chemistry, biology and computer science and a canteen.

The school offers facilities for sports such as basketball, hockey, throwball, athletics, table tennis, badminton and indoor games such as chess, scrabble, carrom etc.

The school also has a Special Needs Department with seven trained professionals -two  counselors and four special educators, headed by a counseling psychologist cum special educator. The department has 10 spacious rooms including a play therapy room.

Bai Avabai Framji Petit Girls School boasts an outstanding policy for inclusion of children with special needs. Accommodation

The boarding section at Bai Avabai Framji Petit Girls School is restricted to Parsee children. The infrastructure comprises a full- fledged kitchen with two cooks and five helpers to cook nutritious meals for the children on a daily basis, a dining hall that accommodates 250 children, four dorms with a matron-in-charge for each dorm, 24 toilets and 50 shower cubicles, washing machine facility in each dorm and a visiting doctor. The entertainment facilities include a TV and a DVD player, books and video library, indoor and outdoor adventure games.
