The Convent Girls’ High School, Prabhadevi, Mumbai is a K-10 girls day school affiliated with the state board. The school was promoted in 1912 by the Congregation of the Franciscan Hospitaller Sisters of the Immaculate Conception. The school was originally attached to the Salvation Church and later moved to its current premises in Prabhadevi. From a co-educational school it transformed into all girls’ school within a few years of its establishment.
The K-10 school follows the curriculum of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education and offers its Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exam at the end of class X.
The school campus is located in Prabhadevi and offers modern classrooms, well equipped science and computer labs and a library.
The academic year begins in June for students from lower kindergarten to class X. The school is affiliated with the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education and students write the board’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exam at the end of class X. English is offered as first language and Hindi, Marathi and Sanskrit as second languages.
Extracurricular: The school encourages many sports and games including football, volleyball, and basketball, and extra-curricular activities such as yoga, dance, fine arts, martial arts and theatre. The school also organises several environmental activities and annual musical programmes for students.
