Founded in 1899, St. Mary’s Convent High School, Kanpur is a girls’ school affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi. The school is open to girls of all communities, irrespective of status, caste, creed and religion. It was established by the Sisters of the Congregation of Jesus, founded by Mother Mary Ward in 1609.
The school imparts not only academic education to girls, but also helps them to develop an integrated personality by focusing on character building, fostering love of truth, respect for others, loyalty, a sense of justice, and commitment to hard work.
The school campus hosts spacious classes, well-equipped laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and computer, a well-stocked library with books catering to a wide range of subjects, and a basketball court.
