Overview

Explorika Early Learning School & Child Care, Whitefield, Bangalore offers early learning for children up to 6 years of age and child care for children between 3 months to 12 years of age. Established in June 2014 by Vignan Group, the preschool has an enrollment of approximately 200 children.

The preschool aims to instill enthusiasm for lifelong learning and a sense of global awareness in each student, along with the necessary skills to prepare them for the challenges and changes which lie ahead.

Campus

The preschool measures about 14000 square feet with secured areas, aisles and cushioned walls, ergonomically designed furniture and non-toxic toys. The air-conditioned interiors include well organised, large, clean and safe classrooms, a cafe that serves breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks prepared as per the guidelines of a certified child nutritionist, a splash pool, ICT lab equipped with early learning resources, an art and craft studio and an audio visual lab. The preschool also hosts an outdoor play area.

Academics

Following a student centred approach, the preschool offers an inquiry-based interdisciplinary curriculum. The preschool’s Early Years Program combines play, culture and the roots of structured learning with focus on development of the child in a language-rich, challenging and caring environment that stimulates active participation and meaningful learning.

The programs are based on play and experimentation and allow children to explore, investigate, and inquire at their own pace. The preschool offers concept-based learning methodology in a safe and relaxed environment, led by teachers who are experts in Early Childhood Education. The preschool follows teacher child ratio of 1:6 and children are introduced to subjects that include math, science, language, arts, physical education and technology. Children are continually assessed with variety of assessment techniques including testing for knowledge, skills, observations and portfolios of children’s work.

Admission

Interested parents must fill an enquiry form on the school website following which an admissions manager will contact them to schedule an appointment and visit to the preschool. Campus visits are by appointment only.

Pre kindergarten: 2.9 to 3.9 years

Kindergarten 1: 3.9 to 4.9 years

Kindergarten 2: 4.9 to 5.9 years
