Overview

IIM – Lucknow was established in 1984 as the fourth Indian Institute of Management by Government of India. It is an autonomous public business school. The Ministry of Human Development recognized it as an institution of excellence. IIM-Lucknow offers postgraduate diploma, fellowship and executive programs in management. IIM Lucknow main campus spans 200 acres and is located in Prabandh Nagar on the outskirts of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. IIML was ranked at No. 5 by the Business Today as 50 best business schools of 2011. Also No. 4 by the Hindustan Times India's top 50 business schools of 2011

Campus

IIM-Lucknow campus is spread over 185 acres in serene and verdant environment, which not only provides an excellent ambience for the community's academic endeavors but also enables them with an opportunity to unwind. The academic buildings are constructed in medieval Indian architectural style with red brick wall texture. Most of the buildings of the campus are named in Sanskrit language according to the functionality of the buildings. The Gyanodaya Library stocks rich collection of selected resources of all disciplines. The library is spacious, air-conditioned, maintained by highly dedicated team of professionals and houses sophisticated information technology based value added services and products. All components in the institute are connected to internet services of AIRTEL and VSNL at 11MBPS. The campus also offers service of email accounts to the students and sufficient storage space on joining the institute. And also round the clock access of internet for students from their respective rooms. The campus which was started in barren lands has been converted into a thriving ecosystem with the plantation of trees.

The Management programmes of IIM Lucknow are accredited by London based AMBA association, which is regarded as one of the main global accreditation bodies in business education. General Information

Admission

The Post Graduate programme aims at providing educational facilities to train young men and women for careers in management, primarily in the corporate sector. Admissions are held through the Combined Admission Test to the two-year full-time course leading to the award of Postgraduate Diploma in Management, equivalent to a Master's degree in Business Management.

Accommodation

The PGP students’ hostel is provided with all the modern facilities that make campus life easier for the students. Solar panels ensure that each hostel is equipped with running hot water. Other facilities include common washing machines and water coolers. All hostels have Common Rooms containing newspapers and magazines, Cable TV, Carom and other indoor game facilities. The Common Rooms serve as focal point for informal recreational activities.
