Founded in 1988, People’s Education Society University (Ring Road, Banashankari Campus) (formerly known as or PES Institute of Technology or PESIT) is a private co-educational engineering college located in Bengaluru, Karnataka. PESIT is managed by the People’s Education Society which was founded in 1972 in a rented gymnasium in Bengaluru with around 40 students, and currently manages 45 educational programs in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh with a total of over 15,000 students. It is affiliated with Visveswaraya Technological University, Belgaum and was granted academic autonomy in August, 2007. PESIT is accredited by AICTE and National Board of Accreditation.
PESIT was ranked No.35 in Outlook India’s Top Engineering Colleges of 2012 survey and No.30 by Dataquest (DQ) India’s Top Engineering Colleges of 2011 survey. The institute boasts 100 percent placement in all departments.

SportsFor undergraduate courses PESIT admits students based on CET or COMED-K UGET test ranks. The college also admits students under management quota which does not place any merit requirements. Admissions to postgraduate courses are based on GATE test scores as well as on postgraduate Karnataka CET scores.
Fees- For students admitted through KCET, the annual tuition fee amounts to Rs. 33,000. For COMEDK students, the annual tuition fee is Rs.1.25 lakh. Residential students are required to pay Rs. 63,000 (including food) per year as hostel charge.
The university was ranked in 101-150 band among universities in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2020, in the 151-200 band overall in 2020 and 93 in the engineering ranking in 2020.
PES University has also been ranked among the top 20 private engineering colleges in the Education World India Engineering Colleges Rankings 2020-21.
