Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi, commonly known as FMS Delhi, was founded in 1954 under the aegis of the University of Delhi. FMS offers management education as part-time and full-time MBA programs. It was the first business school in India to offer a full time MBA program. The first set of professors were trained at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and the institute was started at the Delhi School of Economics premises under the then Dean, Professor A. Dasgupta. It is one of the oldest business schools in India. Its approach to pedagogy combines fieldwork, case studies and instrumented feedback with a strong emphasis on concepts and theory. FMS has been consistently ranked amongst the top 10 business schools in India by leading education surveys. The tuition fee at FMS Delhi is one of the lowest and is reckoned as one of the most affordable business schools in the country.
