Overview

Founded in 1991 by a group of eminent academicians under the leadership of Professor J. Philip, former director of IIM-Bangalore, Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (XIME) is a leading B-School in Bangalore. It also hosts another campus at the commercial capital of Kerala, Kochi. XIME holds the distinction of being the first business school in the city to obtain five year accreditation by AICTE in 2004. The institute provides an active students placement programme which has been achieving 100 percent placement since its inception. A number of reputed companies visit the campus regularly.

Campus

XIME’s sprawling 4 acre campus boasts world class facilities and state of the art infrastructure including 13 fully equipped classrooms with public address system and LCD projector. The computing facility includes fully wired computer LAN with over 200 PCs equipped with latest software. XIME provide separate hostels for boys and girls. Other facilities include executive conference hall, video conference facility, a well stocked library, an auditorium with seating capacity of 300, entertainment lounge, canteen and dining hall. On campus gymnasium and zone for cricket, basket ball, volleyball, badminton, tennis, billiards and table tennis are also provided.

Academics

XIME offers Post Graduate Diploma Management (PGDM) programme - a two year full time residential programme. The programme follows a trimester system.

General Information

Admission

Candidates for XIME’s PGDM course are required to have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate score of 50 percent. Candidates who are appearing for their final examination and are awaiting their results may also apply. Applicants should submit the XAT/CAT/ATMA score for the year in the application form. The other important criteria for the selected candidates are: performance in group discussion, performance in personal interview and work experience Fees: The two-year PGDM programme fee of Rs. 7,50,000 is to be paid in eight installments.

Achievement

XIME was ranked No. 25 in India and 2nd Best B-School in South India by Business Today-Nielsen Survey of B-Schools, 2012. It was also ranked 38th in the Business India Survey and was ranked No. 19 by EDuniversal, Paris, in 2011.

Accommodation

The institute provides separate hostels for girls and boys with modern facilities. The ladies hostel is located within the main campus and men’s hostel is located in the institute’s extended campus. The hostels can accommodate about 125 women and 150 men.
