Founded in 1984, the Indian Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR), Jaipur is a premier institute focusing on management research, postgraduate education and training exclusively in the health sector. IIHMR’s mission is to improve the standards of health by providing better management of health care and related services through management research, education, training and institutional networking in national health systems and global perspective in the health sector. IIHMR also boasts campuses in Delhi, Bangalore and Kolkata.

The Ministry of Health and FamilyWelfare, Government of India has recognized IIHMR as Institute of Excellence for training and capacity building. IHMR has been selected as the WHO Collaborating Centre for District Health System based on primary health care for its remarkable offerings in health management research, training and educational programmes.

Campus

The IIHMR Jaipur campus hosts an academic block, a computer centre, a well-stocked library and documentation centre, a conference hall, an auditorium, an MDP centre, seminar rooms, tutorial rooms and lecture halls.

Sports facilities include a swimming pool, a state-of-the-art gymnasium, a tennis court, a badminton court, and a volley ball court.

MBA- Hospital and Health Management (MBA-HM)

MBA-HM is a two-year full-time programme with 120 seats and is designed to enrich the students with knowledge of the latest management tools and concepts in order to develop essential competencies.

MBA-Pharmaceutical Management (MBA-PM)

IIHMR University, Jaipur offers a two-year full-time MBA programme in Pharmaceutical Management. It is a flagship educational programme aiming at developing trained professionals with requisite skills in planning and operating management techniques; diagnosing and solving management problems; and acquiring consultancy skills, with a view to preparing them to manage pharmaceutical industries.

Admission

Eligibility criteria for MBA-HM

Candidate should hold a recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration with at least 50 percent marks (45 percent for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate in any discipline in Science, Commerce, Nursing, Nutrition and Physical Education Experts, Humanities ,Law, Health Management, General Management, Social Sciences, Health IT and Health Sciences (Medical and Paramedical, Unani and Yoga, Naturopathy, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Dental Surgeons, MBBS) with valid score of MAT/CAT/CMAT/ATMA/XAT.

Eligibility criteria for MBA-PM

Candidate should hold a recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration with at least 50 percentmarks (45 percent for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate in any discipline (Medicine/ Pharmacy/ Biotechnology/ Science/ Management) with valid score of MAT/CAT/CMAT/ATMA/XAT/GPAT. Candidates with relevant experience in pharmaceutical sector can also apply.

Candidates appearing at the final year examination of their Bachelor’s degree programme may also apply.

Selection Procedure: The eligible candidates will be invited for group discussion and interview. The final selection of the candidate is based on his/her performance in the qualifying examination with proportional score in MAT/CMAT/CAT/ATMA/XAT, group discussion and interview. Candidates are required to bring original documents at the time of the interview.

Achievement

IIHMR is the first of its kind university in India, which focuses exclusively on health systems research and management.For its significant contribution in health, hospital, rural and pharmaceutical management education, it has received several leadership and best sectoral B School awards.

Accommodation

IIHMR houses three hostel buildings which can accommodate 187 students. The residential complex hosts flats on the main campus for the staff, in addition to 11 flats a little away from the campus. The complex includes a jogging track, tennis and badminton courts, and a mini playground for children.
