Overview

Manav Rachna International University (MRIU), Faridabad is a private university which started its journey in 1997 as Career Institute of Technology and Management under Maharishi Dayanand University. In 2008, on the recommendation of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the institute was granted deemed status and was renamed Manav Rachna International University, thus attaining the status of a full-fledged university under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956. The university admitted first batch of students in 2009, and today boasts over 6650 students and over 400 well qualified faculty members.

The Manav Rachna College of Engineering has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) as an ‘A’ Grade institution. B.Tech courses at MRIU have been accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA); accreditation has also been granted by TCS, Maruti Suzuki Limited, HCL Technology, L&T InfoTech, Campus Connect Program of Infosys and Partnership with EMC Corporation for training on Cloud Computing, Data Storage and Data Mining.

The Faridabad Institute of Technology (A Private Institute established in 2000) a part of Manav Rachna Educational Institutions was also merged into Manav Rachna International University.

Campus

The university’s main library features a collection of over 1,00,000 books, 50,000 electronic resources, subscription to more than 30,000 national/international journals and large number of e-resources in the form of DVDs and CDs apart from reports/theses/dissertations. The classrooms are equipped with the latest technology including interactive boards and projectors, a health infirmary for first aid and minor medical services with a qualified doctor and nursing staff, two well equipped ambulances for emergencies and a separate sick bay for boys and girls, and an out-patient department of physiotherapy. There are also several cafeteria and canteens which provide various food items in a hygienic environment; a branch of Punjab National Bank ATM is also located within the campus.

General Information

Admission

Application forms can be submitted online through the university website with an application fee of Rs. 1200/- payable through credit/debit card. On submission of the form, the system generates a unique application number which must be noted by the candidates to be used as a reference number for all subsequent correspondence till the candidate is actually admitted. Candidates can purchase admission brochure from MRIU Campus, with comes with a scratch card consisting of a covered number to facilitate submission of application form online. Admission Brochure without Scratch Card may be downloaded from MRIU website free of cost.

The university offers separate hostel facility for boys and girls (A/C and Non A/C). Each hostel room is equipped with one bed, one almirah, one study table and one chair on individual basis.

The hostels have common facilities such as TV, PCs, telephone, table tennis etc and a well-managed and hygienic mess.
