Campus

The 40 acre IFMR wi-fi enabled campus hosts multi-media enabled air conditioned class rooms, lab for simulated and real trading on NSE, with live feeds. HT Parekh Library with electronic journal access, apart from books and multi-media is recognised as a World Bank repository. Other facilities include ATM, launderettes, hostel rooms on twin sharing basis with attached bath and geyser, dedicated TV rooms, mess, QSR and Indian fast food outlet, store for stationery, soft drinks, packed snacks and personal care products. Sports facilities include three volleyball courts, a basketball court, a badminton court, a hockey ground, football ground and cricket ground, tables for TT, and separate gyms in the ladies and gents hostels.

Academics

IFMR offers the following courses: Post Graduate Diploma in Management - PGDM is a full-time 2-year AICTE approved programme which provides quality management education with a strong foundation in Finance. PGDM-WE - Post Graduate Diploma in Management is for working professionals to enhance their managerial capabilities in Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, and Information Systems & Operations fields. PhD - The PhD programme at IFMR is a highly rigorous one with focus on various research areas such as asset pricing, derivatives, corporate governance, development economics, macro economics, financial reporting, international Financial reporting standards and so on. Executive Programmes: IFMR offers executive programmes such as consulting, certificate as well as fully customised training programmes and management development programmes.

General Information

Admission

Eligibility for PGDM- 1. Graduates in any discipline with consistent academic record. Candidates pursuing final year degree can also apply. 2. Any candidate with CAT 2015 / XAT 2016 scores / CMAT / GMAT & GRE (taken in the last three years) scores are eligible to apply. Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria can apply to IFMR only by visiting www.forms.ifmr.ac.in and make a payment of Rs.1,500 through Debit Card / Credit Card / Internet Banking, after which application form can be fill in and submitted online. Eligibility for PGDM-WE- 1. Graduate in any discipline with a minimum of 50 percent aggregate marks. 2. A minimum of 2 years of full-time work experience in an organisation/institution of repute. 3. The age of candidate should not normally exceed 40 years at the time of admission. Admission will be limited as prescribed by AICTE to facilitate personalised guidance to the participants. Method of Selection Candidates will need to write a Test/Interview to be conducted at a date to be notified later. Phd- Qualifications (i) Master’s degree or equivalent PG Diploma in a relevant discipline, and a Bachelor’s degree with consistent first class OR Five-Year integrated Master’s degree/Dual degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline with consistent first class OR ACA / FCA / AICWAI / ACSI qualifications of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India and Institute of Company Secretaries of India provided the candidates have secured.
