DY Patil Education Society (Deemed to be University) was founded in Kolhapur in 2005 in the name of Padmashree Dr. DY Patil. The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and certificate courses, besides fellowship and PhD programmes under the able supervision of highly experienced and eminent teaching faculties. The university strives to become a world class education institute by providing world class infrastructure, modern research facilities, and focus on all round development of the students.

Campus

The eco friendly university campus hosts a homely atmosphere for its students and provides world class infrastructure to facilitate learning and research. Eligibility Criteria

MBBS Programme: Candidates with atleast 50 percent marks in the AICET-16 are eligible for provisional admission as per the merit list in th MBBS course. Merit list of candidates will be published on the website www.dypatilunikop.org.

MD/MS/PG Diplomas: The candidate must be an Indian national. The candidate must have passed M.B.B.S examination from a recognised medical college and received final registration from the Medical Council of India, New Delhi or Maharashtra Medical Council or concerned State Medical Council after completion of one year rotating internship training. Candidates who are persuing one year internship training and are yet to obtain final registration certificate are also eligible to write the entrance test. They will be required to submit a certificate from the principal/dean of the college regarding the likely date of completion of rotating internship training otherwise the application will be rejected.

M.Sc. (Medical) Biochemistry: M.B.B.S./B.Sc.with chemistry/ Biology/ Zoology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ BAMS/ BHMS, B.Pharm, B.Sc. from a recognised university with Biology compulsory in H.Sc. examination.

General Information

Admission

For all courses except doctorate, students need to download the application form online. After checking the eligibility criteria and filling up the forms, they need to contact the admissions office with all related documents. Entrance test and interview shall be taken before admission of candidates.

All doctoral students are admitted through entrance test and personal interview conducted at the All India level. Those who have already qualified UGC/CSIR (JRF) Examination/SLET/GATE/ or any other fellowship holder or have passed M.Phil. programmes, are directly invited for personal interview.

FEES

The annual tuition fee for MBBS programme is Rs 8,30,000.

Achievement

DY Patil University, Kolhapur has been certified with ‘A’ Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council.

The university has been awarded “Best University Award-2013” by the Europe Business Assembly-The Club of Rectors of Europe in December 2013 at Oxford (UK).

Accommodation

The university offers separate hostels for boys and girls with tight security. The hostel offers canteen facility as well as secured Wifi connectivity. Hostels have common rooms with television and seating arrangements.
