Established in 1967 by the Navrachana Education Society, the Navrachana School, Vadodara is an English medium co educational institute affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The school caters to children from kindergarten to class XII.
The mission of the school is to enable students to become responsible global citizens through education, shared experience and community service. It also seeks to instill in young minds a commitment to the ideals of peace, justice, understanding and co-operation, through action and personal examples.
The school has 60 large, well-ventilated classrooms and lecture halls equipped with modern audio visual aids and comfortable furniture. There are state-of-the-art computer and science labs, mathematics and social science rooms, and studios for fashion studies and fine arts. The school also has two auditoriums and an open-air theatre where various extra-curricular activities, training sessions and workshops are staged.
A meditation hall allows students to learn and practice meditation and yoga. Two libraries serve the senior and junior schools with over 15,000 books as well as various periodicals and magazines. Sports facilities include a playground, sports room, basketball court, volleyball court and tennis court. The school also offers bus services to various parts of the city to ensure that the children are ferried back and forth safely.
The school also provides orchestra rooms, music rooms, dance rooms, art & craft rooms, and a graphic design lab.
The school is affiliated to the New Delhi-based Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and prepares students for its class X and XII examinations. In the junior classes, a comprehensive and balanced curriculum is followed along with challenging academic exercises to develop individual talent. Students are motivated to become life-long learners, and understand how subjects like science and maths are applied in real life.
Students from classes XI and XII who want to write the National Entrance Tests are given coaching and guidance.
The school continuously works on curriculum renewal to meet the needs of a changing world.
Extracurricular
Children learn dance, music, art and crafts in two dance rooms, music rooms and orchestra rooms.
Meditation and yoga help students deal with the pressures of modern life. Coaching is provided in basketball, volleyball, tennis, track and field sports.

Three rounds of admissions happen – with forms available in November, March and June for the classes commencing in June, for classes I – IX. For classes X-XII, admissions happen in June. The application forms are available at the school office.
Smitha Dinesh, the school’s secondary section coordinator, was felicitated for her outstanding contribution in the field of education by the Vishwa Kalyan Trust.
Kamna Gupta (teacher) was awarded the ‘Shreshtha Shikshak Award’ 2011-12 by the Ahmedabad Management Association.
