The PSBB Millennium School, Chennai is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. The school was promoted as a collaborative venture between the Bala Bhavan Educational Trust and the Learning Leadership Foundation in 2005 with approximately 600 odd children from pre-kindergarten to class VI.
The school is ISO 9001:2008 certified and the only Microsoft Mentor School in India. It today boasts an enrollment of approximately 3300 students from pre-kindergarten to class XII.
The nursery section of PSBB Millennium School, sited at GST Road in Chennai hosts a campus with ample open space for playing and activity rooms equipped with play material for the development of gross motor skills. The spacious and well-ventilated classrooms feature colorful illustrations to keep the tiny tots engaged in classroom learning.
The primary to senior secondary school campus sprawls over 5 acres at Gerugambakkam. The school is divided into seperate blocks giving the primary school the space they require. The primary wing hosts a junior library, integrated science lab and computer lab, spacious and well ventilated technology enabled classrooms equipped with Smart Classes, play area with a jungle gym, rope climbers, Commando Bridge, swirl slider and the roller slides along with the swings and the see-saw.
The school has a multipurpose hall that houses indoor shuttle courts as well as doubles up as an auditorium to seat 1000 people. Sports facilities include a cricket and football ground, a basketball court and an indoor swimming pool.
The middle school block is connected to the primary school and senior school blocks and enjoys the facilities offered by both the blocks.
The high school section hosts state-of-the-art individual science labs for chemistry, physics and biology. The computer science lab boasts the latest technology and systems.
The senior secondary block boasts well-equipped state-of-the-art labs with all the modern facilities, a well stocked library, a math lab, English lab, social studies lab, yoga and dance room and music, art and craft room.
The Gerugambakkam campus also offers a well-equipped canteen that offers a variety of food to the students at reasonable rates.
The PSBB Millennium School follows the CBSE curriculum with English as the medium of instruction. The teaching methodology is a combination of best classroom-tested materials, teacher-created lesson manuals and Smart Class educational methodologies.
Extracurricular: The school encourages sports and extracurricular activities such as cricket, basketball, karate, yoga, Indian vocal music, electronic keyboard, art and drawing, Bharatanatyam, football, kho-kho, badminton, table tennis, roller skating, chess and German language.
