Purushottam Bhagchandka Academic School is a co-educational English Medium School affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) and offers education from pre-nursery to class XII. PurushottamBhagchandkaAcademic School was established in 2001 by the LakhiParmatma Charitable Trust with an objective to provide quality education and foster all-round development of the students. It is an English medium co-educational school. The school aims to create well-rounded individuals, where a spirit of cooperation and mutual respect exists among the students and teachers.

The school has a big sprawling campus with beautiful classrooms. Soundproof auditorium, Audio-Visual Rooms, science and home science labs, computer lab with internet facilities, state-of-art library, art & craft exhibition hall, robotics & design lab, junior indoor and outdoor play-area, multifunctional sports area, dance & music activity room. All our classrooms have CCTV cameras installed for better monitoring of our students. The school offers dedicated lady security and GPS tracking facilities in buses.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Physical Education (PE), sports programme and extracurricular activities are an integral part of school curricular and are considered vital to students’ development. Every student is required to participate in at least one sports activity in each academic year. The students may chose activities from the following: Karate, yoga, basketball, football, cricket, table tennis. A compulsory ZERO period for Classes III to X has been introduced in school where children have to select one extracurricular activity of their choice. Professional experts have been engaged to offer these classes such as chess, photography, vocals and musical instruments (Guitar, Synthesizer), foreign language (French), classical dance, pottery, advance level art & craft.

Academics

The school has 1350 students and 55 teachers. The primary section is taught in the ratio of 1:35 where as the middle and senior section is taught in the ratio of 1:40. The main USP of the School is Tech based teaching learning method. A child-centric curriculum is the focus of the school with importance on intellectual, social, cultural, physical & global dimensions and is based on logical and critical thinking. Apart from these,

  • Out of 58 class X students, 12 students scored above 90% and 36 students scored above 80%
  • The ISC topper’s score was 97.75%, followed by 95.25% and 94.5%
  • Out of 105 students in class XII ISC, 30 students scored above 90%, 57 above 80%
  • None of the students scored below 75% in ICSE and ISC
