Jindal Institute of Power Technology is recognized by Central Electricity Authority (CEA), Ministry of Power as Category-1 Institute. It is a part of US$ 18 billion O.P. Jindal Group. The Institute possesses world class Simulators of 135 MW / 250 MW / 600 MW generating units & state of the art infrastructure. The Institute aims to produce technically trained professionals for Power Utilities in India and abroad. The course authorizes the pass outs to operate or undertake maintenance of any part or whole of a generating station of 100 MW & above capacity, together with the associated sub stations.

Post Graduate Programme in Thermal Power Plant Technology (PGPTPT)
Eligibility: A full time 4 year BE/B.Tech degree from a recognized Institute in Mechanical / Electrical / EEE / Electronics / Control & Instrumentation with a minimum of 60% marks in class X & XII and 70% in BE / B.Tech. Degree pass out of year 2013 and year 2012 are only eligible.
Age: Not more than 26 years as on July 01, 2013

Post Diploma Programme in Thermal Power plant Technology (PDPTPT)
Eligibility: A 3 year diploma from a recognized institute in Mechanical/ Electrical / EEE / Electronics / Control & Instrumentation Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks in class X/ XII and Diploma.
Age: Not more than 26 years as on July 01, 2013

Fee: INR 80,000 for PDPTPT (payable in two equal installments)
