Amity University, Gurugram, Haryana was established under the Haryana Act 10 of 2010. The university was founded by Ashok Chauhan, the founder of the Ritnand Balved Education Foundation. Amity University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Over the years, 30,000 Amity students have secured on-campus placements in MNCs and top organisations. The university boasts 2,500 faculty members led by 11 former vice chancellors, former chairman of UGC and vice chairman of AICTE. Leading corporate professionals with rich industry experience comprise the visiting faculty group.
The Amity University, Gurugram campus is spread over 110, housing more than 3,000 students in AC classrooms and hostels. The Amity University library is well-stocked with a collection of over 50,000 books, 20,000 journals and 2,500 publications, with access to internet and intranet library facilities.
The 20 acres sports complex comprises courts, grounds and indoor facilities for badminton, basketball, cricket, football, tennis, volleyball, swimming, table tennis and squash.
Laboratory facilities are also available on campus for computer science, mass media, fine arts, biotechnology, nanotechnology, optometry, nursing and psychology.
Hostel facilities are provided to students (boys and girls separate), with AC apartment-style well-lit rooms for more than 2100 students. Other campus facilities include the auditorium, cafeteria, gym, medical facilities, shuttle service and convenience stores.

The university conducts industry interaction programmes which act as an interface between the students, faculty, and the corporate world. The programmes include CEOs forum, CEOs dinner series and corporate mentoring programme.
Placements:
The Amity University Gurugram placement department is overseen by the Corporate Resource Centre and supported by the university alumni. The university houses industry-specific career advisory boards, which help students to plan their best career plan. The university conducts the Personality Development Programmes (PDP) as a part of their placement training programme, which includes grooming for interviews, development of values and ethics, career counselling, etc.
Companies are annually invited for the campus placement drive. Interested students have to register for placements and submit their CVs and other relevant documentation to the placement department. The participating companies conduct pre-placement talks before the recruitment process, following which the placement procedure begins with tests, group discussions and personal interviews. Candidates clearing all rounds of the recruitment process are presented with offer letters by the recruiters.
Recent placement highlights- 2020: In the Amity Gurugram placement drive of 2020, a total of 1706 jobs were offered by 525 visiting companies, among which the top recruiters included Yamaha, TCS, Oracle and Zydus. The highest CTC offered was INR 30 LPA, while the average CTC stood at INR 4.5 LPA.

Amity University offers separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. Well lit spacious AC rooms are provided to students with geysers in all rooms and a TV in the common room.
