The scholarships will be awarded to deserving female graduates in the final year of their degree course, post-graduate and PhD students from computing, engineering and IT backgrounds. Scholarship recipients will get to attend the GHCI 17 conference on November 16 & 17, 2017 in Bangalore. GHCI 17 is hosted by the Anita Borg Institute (ABI) in partnership with ACM India. The deadline for applying for a scholarship is June 30, 2017.

The GHCI Scholarship programme aims to provide students from STEM an opportunity to learn, get inspired by role models and start an exciting career in technology. In 2016, 220 women students were awarded the GHCI Student Scholarship.

The scholarship includes the full conference registration fee and meals. For outstation students, who do not reside in Bangalore, travel (by train/bus/air) will be reimbursed up to a maximum of Rs. 2,250 and accommodation arrangements will also be made.

Scholarship recipients also get access to GHCI’s Student Career Fair (for women students only), where bright and dynamic students can meet top recruiters from global technology companies. Students can explore internships as well as full-time job opportunities. For more details and to apply, visit /ghci-17-student-scholarships/.
