The university has a fully residential wifi-enabled campus designed to provide comfortable spaces for learning and socialising inside and out of the classroom. The campus facilities include state of the art classrooms, auditoriums, conference halls, a well stocked library open 24 hours for students along with access to online resources and a state-of-the-art IT infrastructure, a tuck shop and cooperative store to purchase both fresh and prepared foods, and other general provisions. The university provides an hourly van for transport to and from the Jahangirpuri Metro station for easy travel to New Delhi.
Ashoka University offers three-year B.A. (Hons) and B.Sc. (Hons) programmes in compliance with the most recent directive from the UGC. Ashoka University currently offers nine pure majors in which students can earn either their B.A. or B.Sc. Pure Majors BSc (Hons) Computer Science; Mathematics BA (Hons) Economics; English; History; Philosophy; Political Science Interdisciplinary Majors BSc (Hons) Computer Science and Entrepreneurship; Economics and Finance BA (Hons) English and Journalism; History and International Relations; Politics, Philosophy and Economics; Politics and Society; Psychology; Anthropology and Sociology Minors Courses that students can take outside their area of specialisation or "major", students will have to take a minimum of 6 courses in a particular discipline to be able to earn a minor. Minors can be taken in the fields of: Entrepreneurial Leadership; Visual and Performing Arts; Environmental Science The Young India Fellowship YIF is a one-year, residential programme for recent college graduates with eight-semesters in liberal arts and sciences curriculum that offer courses in a number of disciplines from literature to economics, from visual communication to group dynamics.
Admission process includes evaluation of candidates’ consistent academic performance, active engagement outside the curriculum and personal impact in terms of challenges they might have faced and overcome. Shortlisted candidates are called for interview with the university’s admissions team and faculty members. Application for the undergraduate programme commences in August 2015 and the admission process comprises four rounds, extending from November 2014 to July 2015.
