The application process for Assam Teachers Eligibility Test (ATET) 2019 for lower and upper primary level have begun. The Department of Elementary Education (DEE) of Assam has released the official Assam TET notification on 2 September. Interested candidates can apply on or before 17 September at their official website: ssa.assam.gov.in.
The ATET exam will be held on 20 October across 33 districts of the state and the admit cards will be available from 30 September. The DEE will be conducting the TET exam after a gap of 7 years. The exam will be have two papers as per the norms of National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE). The Paper-I will be for Class I-V teachers while Paper-II for Class VI-VIII teachers.

Eligibility Criteria Assam TET 2019:
Only permanent citizens from the state are eligible to appear for the exam.
Candidates must have qualified the Senior Secondary and graduation (in case of upper primary level) or its equivalent exam with at least 50 percent marks.
The application fee for General category is Rs 325 and reserved categories will have a relaxation fee of Rs 300. The duration of the exams will be of 2 and half hours. Negative marking will not be there.

Step 1: Go to the official website: ssa.assam.gov.in
Step 2: Click on the link ‘Assam TET 2019’
Step 3: A new page will appear. Click on one of the two links.
Step 4: Register by filling the application form and click on submit.
Step 5: Log in with application number and password.
Step 6: Make the online payment and take a print out for future reference.
