Calorx Preschool, Isanpur, Ahmedabad is an English medium co-educational school promoted in 1995 by the Calorx Group of Companies, New Delhi. Calorx is a professionally managed autonomous institution focusing its activities on K-21 education and offers a series of activities in various creative areas.

Campus

The school campus hosts a huge sand-pit equipped with tiny toys, toy train, swings, slides, balancing and sea saw. The school also houses a well-stocked library, specially designed activity room, audio-visual room equipped with a LCD projector for children, dance and music room.

Academics

Play way method is used for learning. The curriculum and methodology is designed by combining the traditional Montessori Method with interactive participatory approach.

The school imparts education through the following methods:

1. Visual Learning – Children learn from visual displays including pictures, power point presentations, flipcharts and flash cards.

2. Auditory Learning – Children learn best through talking things and listening to what others have to say

3. Kinesthetic Learning – Children learn through actively exploring the physical world around them.

Jolly Phonics – This is a systematic, sequential, phonics program designed to teach children to read. Children learn 42 sounds of the English language, rather than the alphabet. This multi-sensory approach is a very effective way to reach all children.

Extra-curricular activities

Besides academics, the school encourages children to participate in various co-curricular activities such asreading, writing, art and craft, dance and music, Math, public speaking, puppet show, T-shirt printing and friendship quilt,games,storytelling and educational trips.
