Founded in 1989, CHIREC School, Hyderabad is an English medium co-educational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, University of Cambridge InternationalExaminations (CIE), UK and theInternational Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO), Geneva. It was founded by Mrs. Ratna Reddy, an educationist and entrepreneur, and is managed by the CHIREC educational society. The school boasts 3222 students from pre-primary level through class XII, 300 teaching staff and 357 supporting staff. It aims to provide a platform to each individual to develop holistically and help discover inherent talent in the fields of fine art, performing arts, music and sports.
The school has three campuses in Hyderabad – at Kondapur, Gachibowli and Jubilee Hills. Spread across 6 acres, the main campus at Kondapur hosts smart classrooms with wi-fi network, LAN and Educomp facility, a study area equipped with ICT teaching-learning facilities, 14 well-equipped laboratories for physics, chemistry, biology, language, home science, fashion technology and computers.
The school’s four libraries feature 17,655 books on fiction and non-fiction, reference materials, audio-visual materials, maps and globes. Libraries are equipped with internet facility and maintain e-resources which are updated regularly. Children and teachers can also access online public library and Rosetta Digital Project. There are two first-aid rooms in the Kondapur campus and one each in Jubilee Hills and Gachibowli campus.
Sports facilities include two synthetic basketball courts, two synthetic lawn tennis courts, two volleyball courts, a handball court, a cricket pitch, a table tennis room, chess room, and a skating rink.
Affiliated with CBSE, CIE and IBO, the school offers schooling from pre-primary level through class XII. While CBSE and CIE curricula are offered from the pre-primary level through class XII, the IBDP programme is offered for classes XI and XII.
