Overview

Founded in 2001, Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication technology (DA-IICT), Gandhinagar is a technological university managed by the Dhirubhai Ambani Foundation and is promoted by the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group. DA-IICT is a university under the State Act of Gujarat, recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), India. DA-IICT boasts 1020 undergraduate students, 150 postgraduate students and 45 highly qualified and experienced faculty from renowned institute and universities.

Campus

The 60 acre DA-IICT campus hosts classrooms and tutorial rooms equipped with audio-visual aids, open-air theatre, state-of-the-art teaching and research laboratories for electronics, communications, computers and networks, a well-stocked resource centre, indoor and outdoor sports facilities and medical facility.

DA-IICT Gandhi Nagar offers following academic programmes: Undergraduate Programmes 1) B.Tech (Information and Communication Technology) 2) B.Tech (Honours in ICT with minor in Computational Science) Post-Graduate Programmes 1) M.Tech (Information and Communication Technology) 2) M.Sc (Information Technology) 3) M.Sc in ICT for Agriculture and Rural Development (ICT-ARD) 4) M.Des (Communication Design) 5) Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Extra-curricular activities: DA-IICT organises various sports and cultural activities such as football, basketball, volleyball and cricket, sangeet sandhya, dance nite, drama nite, rangoli and celebrates various festivals such as Janmashtami, Dussera, Diwali, Holi, Ganesh Chaturthi, Id, Christmas along with few regional festivals like Ugadi and Lohri.

General Information

Admission

1. B.Tech: It is based on the All India Rank of JEE Main-2015 Examination. A limited number of seats will be offered to Non-Resident Indians. 2. M.Tech (ICT): It is based on valid GATE score of previous and current year. 3. M.Sc (IT): It is based on online admission test conducted by DA-IICT at selected centres. 4. M.Sc (ICT-ARD): It is based on online admission test conducted by DA-IICT at selected centres or latest scores of CAT MAT / CMAT / XAT / ATMA and interview. 5. M.Des (CD): It is based on admission test and interview conducted at DA-IICT, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. 6. Ph.D: Admission for Ph.D programme is based on research aptitude test and interview conducted at DA-IICT, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Candidates can apply online for all programmes at www.daiict.ac.in. Achievement

1. DA-IICT is the first university in India to offer undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in the area of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). 2. DA-IICT has been ranked as the best private technology university in the country. 3. It has been ranked among top 30 national universities in India by the Education World C-fore Survey 2015.

Accommodation

DA-IICT provides separate hostels for boys and girls. The rooms are furnished with a bed, table, chair and a cupboard for eachstudent.
