Overview

Founded by Late Ch. Deep Chand Ji in 1988, Deep Memorial Public School (DMPS), Ramprastha is a coeducational day cum residential school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. The school received affiliation from CBSE in 1990 and was formally inaugurated in 1995 by His Excellency Sh. Moti Lal Vora, then governor of Uttar Pradesh.

Campus

The campus hosts spacious classrooms equipped with smart boards, TV sets, computers and LCD projectors, a well stocked library, well equipped labs for mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology, two computer labs for junior and senior sections, medical infirmary, a multipurpose hall, counseling room, dance and music rooms.

The school offers excellent sports infrastructure which includes two standard size volleyball courts, two outdoor basketball courts, a swimming pool with provision of separate changing room for both boys and girls, a 10 lane shooting range equipped with latest shooting weapons imported from Germany, and a spacious and ultra–modern hall for table tennis and gymnasium. The school also offers facility for Taekwondo, skating and chess.

Academics

The teaching-learning process is student centric and each student’s course of study is carefully planned, followed and mapped with efforts for improvisation if required. Individual counseling sessions are conducted to assist students with learning difficulties, behavioral problems and adjustment issues. The approach also recognises factors of academic pursuit, maturing experience and enthusiasm to learn with emphasis on group discussions, presentations, project work and creative writing.

There is a counsellor to assist students, teachers and parents in dealing with their day-to-day challenges in life. Life skills training is imparted to students to make them confident and successful individuals; students are well informed about various career options available to them after schooling. The school also hosts workshops for teachers to keep them updated with the latest changes in teaching methodologies.

General Information

Admission

Parents can either procure the application form and prospectus from the school office or download the same from the school website along with registration fee of Rs.300 or send request letter for prospectus and application form along with Demand Draft of Rs.350/- (includes postage charges) drawn in favour of "Deep Memorial Public School", payable at Delhi/Ghaziabad and sending duly completed form to the school office by post/hand. The duly filled form must be submitted at the school office on working days between 8 am to 1 pm. The school conducts mid-session admissions which for transfer cases if vacancy exists.

Registration dates and process is as follows:

Kindergarten (Pre-Nursery, Nursery, and K. G.): Registration takes place in the second week of October. Students in the Kindergarten level (pre-nursery, nursery and KG) are admitted on “first-come-first served” basis after an interaction with the parents. The age criteria for kindergarten is 2+ years for pre nursery, 3+ years for nursery and 4+ years for KG as on March 31 of the year in which admission is sought.

Classes I to IX: Registration takes place in the second week of January. Students need to write an entrance examination in English, Hindi and math. Merit list is displayed a day after the entrance examination.

Class-XI: After declaration of class X CBSE/CISCE results in the last week of May/first week of June. Admission is granted on the basis of marks/grades secured in class X board examination (CBSE/CISCE).
