Founded in 2002, Delhi Public School (DPS), Jalandhar is an English medium, co-educational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. The school functions under the aegis of the DPS Society which manages over 190 schools across the globe. The school sees the parents’ role as integral and fosters a close partnership between the child, teachers and parents.
The 10 acre school campus comprises a well-resourced library with a collection of 7,813 books, an A.V. room, well-equipped laboratories, computer room and a play ground. Other facilities include a dance room, music room, and canteen. Transport facility is also provided. Sports facilities include a swimming pool, indoor games, cricket pitch, skating rink and a gymnasium.
Affiliated with the CBSE, DPS Jalandhar follows the activity-based learning method and offers schooling from Kindergarten through class X. The teaching method is interactive and focuses on developing a range of learning skills. The school follows a theme-based curriculum till class V. From class VI onwards, formal subjects are introduced.
Extracurricular
Students participate in cultural and literary activities including dance, music, debates, quizzes and more. Frequent excursions and field trips help students appreciate the beauty of nature and learn new things.
Coaching is provided for sports such as football, cricket, athletics, basketball, carrom, table tennis and swimming. Students also participate in rock climbing and skating.

Admission forms need to be filled in and submitted at the administrative office within one week of the issue of the forms.
Admissions to pre-nursery, nursery and preparatory classes are done on the basis of observation-cum-interaction with the child in the presence of both the parents. A formal written test in languages and maths is conducted for children seeking admission to class I and above.
At the time of registration, the following documents are required –
