Delhi Public School (DPS), Jammu was founded in the year 1998 as the first branch of DPS in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, by M.K. Ajastshatru Singh, president of Rajput Charitable Trust and his wife, Ritu Singh along with the DPS society. The school aims to “identify the potential of each child, to appreciate specific and individual requirement, and to respond to it with passion and sensitivity”.
Delhi Public School, Jammu is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi and offers classes from nursery to class XII.
The school campus hosts modern classrooms, well equipped science and computer labs to foster the spirit of enquiry for the budding scientists and the computer savvy. The well stocked library features over 7,500 books; the school also has a well equipped clinic with a qualified full time doctor. The school manages a fleet of around 50 school buses covering most parts of the city.
DPS Jammu like all other DPS group of schools is affiliated with CBSE and offers holistic education to students from nursery to class XII. The school follows an assessment pattern of four cycle tests during the scholastic year for classes I to VIII. Detailed report cards with grades for each subject are issued. Classes IX to XII follow the CBSE assessment pattern.
