Delhi Public School (DPS), Srinagar is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Promoted in 2003 by the DP Dhar Memorial Trust (named after Late Shri DP Dhar, eminent philanthropist and politician), the school is a franchisee school of the DPS Society which runs over 150 schools in India and abroad. The school offers education from LKG to class XII, and boasts 2,267 children and 30 faculty members on its muster rolls.
The mission of DPS, Srinagar is to "provide an environment of education that allows children to understand ways of making their life meaningful, to contemplate on issues that matter, and to engage in constructive dialogues".
DPS, Srinagar is spread on 12 acres and comprises various blocks. The nursery block houses classrooms from kindergarten to class II, its own library hosting a collection of 10000 books, two computer rooms, yoga center, activity room and canteen.
The middle school block features classrooms for classes III to VI, a large computer room, a library on two floors with more than 25,000 books, an audio visual hall, a home science lab, a multi science lab, music room, dance room, canteen, book shop and a medical infirmary which has a dental chair, an eye clinic and pathology lab.
The senior block has classes VII to XII along with a computer lab, and multimedia room. There are also labs for physics, chemistry, biology, English and mathematics and a fine art center where workshops are conducted.
DPS, Srinagar is the first school in the country to boast a Water Park for its students and a covered heated swimming pool. Sports facilities include courts for tennis, volleyball, basketball, netball, handball, and cricket, football, and hockey fields and a golf drive.
The school is affiliated with the CBSE board and offers education from kindergarten to class XII. The CBSE curriculum is supplemented with activities like excursions, field trips, seminars, workshops, over night camps, and guest lectures. The school also posts video lessons on its website for the benefit of its students who have missed classes and for those who have difficulty in understanding it the first time. Computer education has been introduced from the nursery level.
Extracurricular: Extracurricular activities include clay modeling, pottery, weaving, dance, music, art and craft, theatre, debates, elocution, camping and creativity writing.

Online registration forms are available in August while print copies of the application form are also available at school office between 9:00 am to 1:00 pm in the same month. The last date for submission of admission forms is August 24.
Admission into LKG is on the basis of observation and interaction with child and parents. Date and timings for interaction will be available on school website in end August.

DPS, Srinagar is the first private school in the valley which is affiliated with the CBSE board; the school has also achieved 100 percent results in the last two class X board exams.
DPS, Srinagar does not offer student accommodation.
