Earth Day celebrated at GGIS

On 20th April 2018, students of Gyan Ganga International School celebrated the ‘Earth day’ which was organized by the members of Eco- Club. Keeping in view the hot weather and the increasing temperature and heat day by day the students of Nursery to Class III along with the members of Eco-Club arranged various activities in relation to the theme “Save Environment”. There were no: of activities for these tiny ones such as- coloring, poster making, pot making, hanging of earthen pots and filling them with cold water and food. Students with the help of their teachers hanged these feeders under tree shades so that birds in this hot weather can easily get their feeds.

The main & foremost aim of conducting such an activity was to make these tiny ones aware about the conservation of the natural resources and species. They were also inculcated with moral values and thoughts of being human and share the quality of preserving their surroundings. These students who participated in the activity took an oath of keeping their environment balanced by planting trees and providing food and water to animals and birds. Students of primary section also displayed their views on the given topic by coloring and drawing on canvas.

The activity was conducted under the great guidance of school Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar Chandel. He highlighted the importance of such activities and developing the human qualities in the students while addressing these students.
