QNu Academy launched

Delhi, june 23. QNu Labs, “India’s first integrated end-to-end quantum secured cybersecurity platform”, announced the launch of QNu Academy, an educational initiative to build a future-ready talent pipeline in quantum technologies and cybersecurity.

“Our goal is to create a sustainable ecosystem for quantum learning in India through faculty development and industry-aligned programs, CoE labs, certified programs, real-time projects, and assignments with placement opportunities, to develop quantum experts, empowering students to become future leaders. The future of cybersecurity in India depends on how well we prepare today’s learners to tackle tomorrow’s threats,” said Sunil Gupta, Co-founder and CEO of QNu Labs, speaking on the occasion.

“Through QNu Academy, we hope to foster a culture of innovation, encourage indigenous R&D in quantum tech, and empower India’s workforce to lead on the global stage,” he added.

 

PASB-EY joint venture

New Delhi, june 27. Pearl Academy’s School of Business (PASB) is partnering with Ernst & Young (EY) India,  to launch the country’s first business management (MBA) study programme focused on applications of AI in business to prepare future leaders for an AI-enabled economy.

As knowledge partners, PASB and EY India will ideate and design curricula to include students’ direct access to live industry projects, mentorship from EY leaders, and exposure to global consulting frameworks. “As a new-age B-School, we believe that business management education needs to evolve with the times. This MBA programme will prepare students to apply AI to lead businesses that are being reshaped by it,” said Amod Vijayvargiya, Director, PASB at a media briefing.

According to Vijayvargiya, Pearl Academy’s 32-year legacy of technology-led creative education and EY India’s global expertise will ensure programme graduates will be ready to lead businesses in an AI-enabled world.

 

 JGU’s Japan drive

Tokyo/sonipat, june 23. In a significant initiative that highlights India’s growing academic cooperation with Japan, O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU), Sonipat signed eight new Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with leading Japanese universities, bringing its total number of academic partnerships in Japan to 23. This milestone was celebrated during a high-level visit by a JGU delegation to Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Fukushima, Yamanashi among other Japanese cities last month (June).

 The MoUs stipulate student mobility programmes; joint research initiatives; faculty exchanges, and collaborative conferences to build long-term academic bridges between India and Japan. “The expansion of our partnerships to 23 leading universities across Japan is not just about increasing numbers — it’s about creating a collaborative framework for educational innovation, societal impact and global dialogue. I am deeply grateful to our Japanese partners for sharing this aspiration of collaborative excellence,” said Prof. (Dr.) C. Raj Kumar, an alumnus of Oxford and Harvard universities and Founding Vice Chancellor, JGU, addressing the media in Tokyo.

 

ITIs modernisation initiative

Mumbai, june 25. Godrej Enterprises Group (GEG) announced a landmark strategic collaboration with Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) to enable modernisation of traditional trades like welding, fitting and electricals, as also to improve IoT orientation in Mumbai, Raigad and Satara. Simultaneously, it has signed a public-private-partnership MoU with ITI-Karjat and three-year MoUs with other ITIs.

According to GEG spokespersons, the group is working closely with 17 ITIs sited in Karjat, Panvel, Pen, Lonand, Wai, Mumbai, and Thane to modernise traditional trades and introduce new trade streams like machinist and industrial painters, who are in high demand in the Khalapur and Karjat regions of Maharashtra. More than 1,500 students are expected to benefit directly from training in in-demand skills aligned with current and future industry needs.

BITS-P-IISc agreement

Delhi, june 27. Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani announced signing of an MoU with the top-ranked Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru to advance academic and research collaboration.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. V. Ramgopal Rao, Vice Chancellor, BITS Pilani, said: “By combining the strengths of both our institutions, we intend to address critical challenges in science and technology while nurturing a new generation of innovators and researchers.”

Added Prof. Govindan Rangarajan, Director of IISc: “Collaborations like this are essential to drive impactful research and innovation. We are excited to create opportunities for knowledge exchange and to jointly contribute to solving some of the country’s most pressing scientific and societal challenges.”
