Dr. Anunaya Chaubey, Provost of Anant National University, is a distinguished academician, artist, and thought leader in education. His artworks explore the mystery of the mundane in individual and communal worlds, presenting a dynamic interplay of people and places. His paintings are part of public and private collections worldwide.

In this exclusive interview with Reshma Ravishanker, Special Correspondent, EducationWorld, he shares insights on the Union Budget’s education allocation, AI’s impact on jobs and creativity, the entry of foreign universities, and the evolving higher education landscape in India.

As an academic, Dr. Chaubey teaches a pioneering Art Appreciation course at institutions in India and abroad, linking art to science, technology, history, psychology, economics, and politics. He is shaping Anant National University into a design-focused institution with a strong liberal arts and technology foundation.

Previously, he co-founded the Young India Fellowship at Ashoka University, served as Principal of Patna College of Arts and Crafts, and worked at Bihar Lalit Kala Akademi. A Salzburg Fellow, he holds a PhD in English Literature from Patna University and has contributed to institution-building in India and abroad. His extensive experience spans academia, journalism, and advertising.
