EW webinar on NEP 2020: Implementation Road Map – Uttarakhand

EducationWorld in association with Edu Start presented a webinar on October 17, 2020 on the National Education Policy 2020 titled – “NEP 2020: Implementation Road Map – Uttarakhand”.

While the introduction for the webinar was given by Sapna Sukul, Founder, Edustart Solutions, the event was moderated by Summiya Yasmeen, Managing editor, EducationWorld & ParentsWorld.

In terms of education, Uttarakhand is home to some of the best schools and institutions in the world including IIT Roorkee, one of the best world class engineering colleges; Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration; Forest Research Institute and the Indian Military Academy. The webinar was conducted to discuss two main points – how and when schools may possibly reopen amid the coronavirus pandemic and translating the NEP 2020 vision into reality.

The panelists for the part session – ‘Case for reopening schools’ included Rashid Sharfuddin, Headmaster of SelaQui International School, Dehradun; Arpit Panjwani, Director, Maa Anandmayee Memorial School, Raiwala; Meeta Sharma, Principal, Mussoorie International School, Mussoorie; N. D. Sawhney-Dean, Guru Nanak Fifth Centenary School, Mussoorie

The keynote address on ‘Translating NEP 2020: Vision into reality’ was conveyed by Dr. R. Meenakshi Sundaram, IAS-Secretary, School Education, Uttarakhand and the special address by Divya Lal, Founder, Fliplearn.

The panelist for ‘Evolving the perfect blended learning model’ included Monisha Datta, Director, The Doon Girls School, Dehradun; Dr. Prem Kashyap, Founder president, Principals Progressive Schools’ Association, Uttarakhand; Manipushpak Joshi, CEO, Aurum The Global School, Haldwani; Harinder Mann, Director, Doon International Schools, Dehradun. The second panel discussion was moderated by Divya Lal.
