Explorers School started as an idea to create a transformative environment for children & youth to explore and experience nature, connect with each other and realize their potential! Aims to complement classroom education with education focused on building life skills. The seed team bring together, over 80 collective years of experience. Founded and led by alumni of National Outdoor Leadership School, USA. Mission is to be the credible and respected source in experiential, outdoor education, life skills, & environmental education in India. The key principle of Explorers is that ‘the experience itself is the core learning’. Explorers model recognizes this fact and uses the ‘outdoors’ as a medium to create powerful learning experiences for its participants in a simulated environment. Explorers work with schools, colleges, universities, organizations and NGO’s. We include participants from diverse cultural, social and economic backgrounds. Learning is hands-on where educators purposefully engage with learners in direct experiences and focused reflection in order to increase knowledge, develop skills and clarify values. Meaningful, applicable to real life and transferable to daily life and different situations. We conduct Experiential Education programswith unique design and delivery of Programs: · Connecting Classrooms and the Outdoors · Exposing participants to practical side of what they learn in their classrooms · Collaborative and not competitive · Inclusive and not Exclusive, where participants connect, exchange ideas and herald change by working closely with peers across social borders, economic borders and cultural borders ·Hands on learning and active participation, where the teacher is now in-effect a learner too and the student takes an active ‘lead’ in learning, there by bringing the shift from traditional classroom atmospheres to a positive learning environment.
