Future Kids School (FKS), Hyderabad is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi. The school was started by Shailaja Rao in 1997 with 20 students, one teacher and five support staff on a 4,000 sq ft rented space. Today it boasts a three-acre facility comprising four buildings, and student strength of 1000 children.
The school’s mission is to foster a culture of curiosity, teamwork and responsibility for students by encouraging them to unearth their talents and use them to the best of their ability.
The three acre school campus hosts spacious classrooms, well stocked library, well equipped labs for computer, physics, chemistry and biology, multipurpose hall, infirmary, indoor games facility for karate, carom, chess and table tennis and a playground with facilities for skating, basketball, football, athletics and handball.
The school follows its own curriculum at the elementary school (playgroup to class V) and there are no prescribed text books, although children are given homework. From class VI onwards, the school follows the CISCE curriculum. Students of class XI and XII study are offered special classes for SAT and preparation for common entrance exams for professional courses (IIT, AIEEE etc.).
The school conducts one hour sports session everyday along with weekly personality and leadership programmes. Children also work with a school that caters to children below poverty line. Students of class XI and XII are encouraged for internships and projects for practical experiences.
The extracurricular activities include music – vocal and instrumental, dance – classical and folk.

According to a school spokesperson, the FKS philosophy of “child first” has stood them through some tough times and the success of the outgoing students and the satisfaction of the parents will further strengthen the FKS motto of “child-centric” education.
The school is ranked among the top co-ed day schools in India by the EducationWorld India School Rankings 2021-22.
