Overview

Gen BC Joshi Army Public School, Pithoragarh is a co-ed day cum boarding school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. The school has been established under the aegis of Adjutant Generals Branch, Army Headquarters, to cater to the educational needs of the wards of defense personnel including ex-servicemen, and to some extent, to the needs of civilians and NRIs.

The school aims at providing quality education in an environment that ensembles the contemporary values of science and technology with India’s rich traditions, ideals and cultural heritage.

Campus

The school campus hosts facilities for both curricular and co-curricular activities and provides a friendly and congenial atmosphere for learning.

The 23 acre school campus hosts a well-stocked library featuring a huge collection of books covering a variety of subjects, magazines and news-papers, and an audio-visual room.

Sports facilities include two outdoor basketball courts, two indoor wooden badminton courts, army golf ground and horse riding arena, football ground and two Indoor wooden squash courts.

Academics

Affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, the school imparts education from class IV through class XII. The school ensures a judicious mix of academic competence, physical fitness, discipline and social awareness.
