Global Indian International School SGD 200000

Global Schools Foundation, which runs the premier network of Global Indian International School (GIIS), has pledged to contribute SGD 200,000 to the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM Cares Fund) for India’s fight against Coronavirus.

The funds donated would be used to pace up the resources required to fight Covid-19.

Owing to the current situation in India and other parts of the world due to the virus outbreak, GIIS’ humble contribution comes with an objective to help the nation prepare and deal with this global crisis.

Joining the league of India Inc leaders, Atul Temurnikar, Co-Founder & Chairman, Global Schools Foundation (GSF) said, “We believe in timely intervention in hour of need and at this point, when the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic is creating a havoc worldwide, many people in India are facing hardships. This is true for especially the underprivileged section of the society, who do not have the adequate resources at their disposal. The contribution of Global Schools Foundation to the PM’s CARE fund is only a small step towards our commitment to India and the well-being of its citizens.”

In view of COVID-19 and to ensure GIIS India students continue to receive education on a seamless basis, the school has put in place several innovative teaching techniques including the launch of virtual classrooms that students can now take advantage of, for home-based learning and keep themselves safe and secure at all times. GIIS has also implemented a Continuity Plan (CP) for its students and teachers to minimize the impact of the virus and minimize disruptions to students in their learning journey.

Over the years, GIIS and GSF have been actively involved in various CSR activities including their Tribal School initiative that include the Mahatma Gandhi Global Indian Eklavya School at Tilakwada in association with the State of Gujarat.
