Javed: full suite ‘5A’ services
Mohammad Javed is the founder-CEO of Skoodle Learning Pvt. Ltd, a Bengaluru-based company that offers a range of edtech solutions — ERP, student assessment, live classes, e-learning, school bus tracking and campus security — to education institutions under the brand name Entrar. Over the past decade, Entrar has built long-term partnerships with prestigious schools countrywide.
Newspeg. On January 23, Javed was in Colombo to launch Entrar’s suite of services for schools in Sri Lanka.
History. A commerce graduate of Hindu College, Sonipat, who pressed on to qualify as a chartered accountant, Javed began his career as an auditor before signing up with the well-known ad agency McCann Erickson India in 1995, where he rose to the position of Vice President-Finance (1995-2007). Subsequently, he was appointed CEO of Idiom Design and Consulting, promoted by Kishore Biyani, founder of the retail giant Future Group. Idiom Design ideated the brand design of the Commonwealth Games 2010 held in Delhi, Oakridge International School, the Manipal Education Group and School of India (the latter promoted by Bengaluru-based edupreneur Mansoor Khan).
During this period, Javed became interested in education and resolved to leverage digital technologies to “make life easier for children and teachers especially in remote towns and rural areas”. After six years at Idiom, in 2014 he resigned to co-promote Spread Design and Innovation Pvt. Ltd, a transdisciplinary business design firm. A year later, he promoted Skoodle Learning Pvt. Ltd.
“My discussions with Mansoor made me aware that the education sector needed a robust technology provider to enhance children’s teaching-learning experiences, improve teacher efficiency and foster stronger teacher-student bonds. In 2015, Mansoor and I collaborated to harness the full potential of technology in education by launching Entrar,” recalls Javed.
Direct talk. “Entrar brings all key stakeholders — parents, students, teachers, administrators, leadership — on a common platform by seamlessly integrating their roles, tasks and functions resulting in easing teachers’ administrative workload and improving children’s learning outcomes. It provides a full suite of ‘5A’ services covering admission, academics, admin, assessment and alumni on a common online platform. This AI-powered integrated platform for end-to-end management of education institutions is customisable and offers deep functionalities to reduce the administrative workload of teachers and staff. More importantly, our USP is that we offer excellent technical support with our customer support team hand-holding school clients at every step to implement Entrar. That’s why all our clients including the SSVM Group in Coimbatore and all DPS schools in Bengaluru have given us excellent testimonials,” says Javed.
Future plans. With over 100 schools countrywide on his clients list, Javed plans to focus on product upgradation and the higher education sector. “We intend to aggressively target HEIs as Entrar solutions are highly customisable and adaptable. As part of this strategy, we have successfully implemented Entrar@University with select universities and are now poised to scale up nationally and globally. We have also launched Entrar Open learning, an ‘online digital campus’ for education institutions. We are upgrading our Entrar Live platform to offer Zoom-style online classes facility and Entrar Secure for campus security. Simultaneously, we are negotiating with state governments to offer Entrar to upgrade teaching-learning quality in government schools, especially in rural areas. We strongly believe that technology offers government schools the chance to make a quantum leap and improve the quality of education they dispense manifold,” says Javed.
