Overview

Founded in 1993, Goa Institute of Management (GIM) is a premier B-School located in the state of Goa. The autonomous institute offers a full time Diploma in Business Management and an executive Diploma in Business Management programme and is also a resource centre for PhD programmes in management. All GIM courses are approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). In 2009, GIM was ranked No. 16 in MINT Survey of Private B-schools in India. GIM was ranked No.16 in the Best B-School Survey by CSR-GHRDC in 2012. It was also ranked No.21 in Outlook-MDRA Survey 2012.

Campus

Initially, the GIM campus was situated on the banks of the Mandovi River. In 2010, the campus was shifted to a 50 acre plot set against a backdrop of the foothills of Western Ghats in Sanquelim. The state-of-the-art Sanquelim campus houses three blocks - Admin Block, Faculty Block and Academic Block. The academic block has a capacity to accommodate 480 students and hosts 14 classrooms, each equipped with overhead projectors and screens. The library is open round the clock and features over 7000 books, around 165 Indian and international journals and a tie-up with University of Ohio, USA, which assists in updation of titles. The institute hosts two double seater and three single seater air-conditioned hostels with modern amenties. Other facilities include a cafeteria, an amphitheatre and a multi-purpose hall.

General Information

Admission

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree with an aggregate score of minimum 50 percent from any reputed university to get admission to the MBA course. For executive MBA programme, three years full time work experience is also required. Fees: Annual fee for the entire PGDM course is Rs.10,50,000 while the hostel fee is around Rs.30,000.

Achievement

GIM was ranked No. 16 in the Best B-School Survey by CSR-GHRDC in 2012. It was also ranked No. 21 in Outlook-MDRA Survey 2012.

Accommodation

GIM provides separate hostels for boys and girls with modern facilities including recreation.
