Graphic Era University, Dehradun is a premier educational institute promoted in 1997 as Graphic Era Institute by Graphic Era Educational Society, a non-profit organisation. The institute was awarded the status of Deemed University in 2008. The university boasts more than 300 teaching faculties from IITs, IIMS, NITs and foreign universities. Campus

The campus is spread across 30 acres of lush greenery amidst the Doon Valley just beside the Rajaji National Park. The campus hosts world class infrastructure and has modern amenities such as well-equipped laboratories, well-resourced library, workshops, conference halls, computer centre, medical centre, ATMs, transportation facility for students, restaurant, cafeteria, 24 hour internet facility (Wifi), besides reprographic and telephone (STD) facilities. Sports facilities include a large playground for cricket, football and other outdoor games such as volley ball, basket-ball and lawn tennis. The campus also houses facilities for indoor games such as table tennis, badminton, billiards, carom and chess.

General Information

Admission

Application form can be collected from the university office by paying Rs. 1200 or can be downloaded from the website. Applicants need to fill up the form and send it with a demand draft of Rs. 1200/-(in case of online form) in favour of Graphic Era University payable at Dehradun. Last dates for submission of the application form for different courses are declared online. 10 percent of the seats in each course are offered to NRI/PIO students. For the academic session 2017-18 (B.Tech only), 10 percent seats are reserved for direct admission for students who have secured 85 percent and above in their class 12 examinations from a recognised Board/institution. 40 percent seats are filled on the basis of merit in the class 12 Board examinations from a recognised Board/institution. 50 percent seats to be filled on the basis of JEE Mains score/merit prepared on AIEAA. Achievement

Graphic Era University was accredited by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) with grade ‘A’. Graphic Era University was placed on No.1 position in North India by NAAC. Graphic Era University was awarded ESQR’s Quality Choice Prize 2016 in Berlin (Germany).

Accommodation

The university offers hostel, mess and guest house facility for accommodating students. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. Hostels are well equipped with 24 hours electricity and water supply, first aid facilities and doctors on call, spacious and well furnished rooms, 24 hours security with armed guards during nights and incoming call facility, besides a host of other facilities.
