Greenwood High is run by Greenwood High Trust helmed by chairman Mr. Bijay Agarwal, a first-generation entrepreneur who has built a rock-solid empire as the managing director of Salarpuria Sattva, taking the company through a consistent growth curve since 1993.

Providing world class education right from preschool through high school, the co-ed international day-cum-boarding school has established a national reputation for nurturing “free-thinking, socially responsible students, in an active and free atmosphere, to make students truly world-ready.”

The school believes in a holistic approach to education with expert tutelage, creative freedom and inspiring innovation, being essential for moulding students from core to advanced knowledge.

Greenwood’s contemporary academic infrastructure includes 140 classrooms, well-equipped labs and a state-of-the-art  library stocked with 14,000 books for all age groups, among others. The library is equipped with facilities for teachers and students to research for resources online and for parents to keep track of books borrowed by their children from the library and also includes a separate research room for teachers with computer-internet facility.

The computer, math and science (biotechnology, physics, chemistry and biology) labs are staffed with well trained lab assistants to assist them. The fully WiFi enabled campus also hosts impressive facilities for sports and games such as swimming, football, throwball, basketball, tennis, and volleyball.

A 500-seats amphitheatre equipped with excellent acoustics and a spacious, well-staffed canteen are other campus highlights. The meals in the school canteen are planned by nutritionists and prepared by experienced chefs. The cafeteria is located in a separate building with two floors and can accommodate 900 children at a time.

The school boasts well qualified and well trained faculty whose skills and knowledge are constantly upgraded through relevant training programmes and workshops.

At the start of each academic year, Greenwood High teachers receive nine days training on teaching skills, emotional/psychological development, IT skills and media creation. Apart from this, special subject specific training is conducted for the individual departments. Some of these are conducted by the board and some by special agencies hired by the school. Only reputed professionals are engaged for these programmes.

The school’s child-centred teaching-learning approach encourages children to speak and teachers to listen, refine and clarify. Curiosity is instilled and tickled.

Co-curricular:

Greenwood High offers a rich co-curricular education menu. While academics are not compromised, children have a wide array of CCA to choose from: chess, editorials, music, drama, dance, sports, and games. Holistic development is stressed upon.

The school encourages its students to participate in sports and games such as Soccer, Cricket, Basketball, Hockey, Swimming, Athletics, Tennis, Chess, Badminton, Western/Indian music, Art & Craft, Drama, Dance, Debate, Quiz, Yoga, Wushu, etc. The school also organises field trips and excursions for pupils during the academic year.

Greenwood High students not only balance academics, sports, and co-curricular activities, but excel in them.  Greenwood High IB results far outshine the world average; the school has produced India toppers in both IGCSE and ICSE.  And yet, these very same industrious students immerse themselves in theatre and with support from their theatre, art, and music teachers, and have presented ‘Annie’ a musical that was compared to professional theatre productions.  To encourage them further, the school has held various workshops including one from the prestigious Globe Education.
