As the nation grapples with the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, several private organisations have stepped in to assist the government to take care of Covid patients. The Mahagun Group has also decided to convert the ground floor of their Manthan School (Junior Wing), at Noida, into an L-1 hospital for Covid patients. The Group has pledged the school’s ground floor to the Noida authority till June.
This facility would cater to hundreds of Covid positive patients in the vicinity. After June 30, the school will resume normal operations as a learning institution. The support is extended due to the shortage of beds, a significant hurdle in the fight against COVID.
A spokesperson from the Mahagun Group said, “We look forward to support Noida authority in its drive to help people during this crisis period. The ground floor of our junior school will be used as L1 hospital and will be developed and managed by Noida authority till June 30, 2021. It will then be re-used for educational purposes.”
