Jobs in Education System

Heart to Heart

Dear Moms and Dads, Most families are busy juggling school work, office work, household chores, extra-curricular activities, social life, and myriad little things that make daily schedules a hard grind. It’s easy to spot a room that needs decluttering, but terribly hard to admit that our lives need decluttering too. But once you start, you might discover there is far more value in one special activity, than ten others that take up the same time. Every little activity might seem necessary, but drawing up priorities can make life far smoother and easier for the whole family. The ‘do-it-all’ attitude that supermoms adopt is passed on to children, with extra-curriculars, friends, social media, and other activities fighting for time. What if you read to your child during that 9 p.m. TV serial slot? What if you stopped one of the three hobby classes your child attends — the one she doesn’t seem to be too interested in? What if you dropped that extra half hour on social media, and went for a walk with your children instead? Decluttering our lives is hard to do in today’s ‘do-it-all’ world. But it can help to add quality to our time and get our priorities right. It can turn your mad rush of activities into a focussed life. With hundreds of thoughts and ideas bombarding us, it pays to minimise, declutter, and prioritise. Facebook Twitter LinkedIn WhatsApp
