Heritage Girls School, Udaipur successfully hosted the first edition of its Youth Parliament earlier this month. The event was graced by chief guest Maharani Sahiba Nivritti Kumari Ji Mewar of Udaipur.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by principal Amita Tiwari, followed by a lamp-lighting ceremony with director Shriyans Bhandari, Lt. Gen N. K. Singh, and Maharani Sahiba Nivritti Kumari Ji Mewar of Udaipur.
Shubham Maheshwari, founder of Dimension, introduced the vision behind the Youth Parliament. Maharani Sahiba Nivritti Kumari Ji Mewar of Udaipur inspired delegates with her words on leadership and civic responsibility.
Satakshi Singh, secretary general, officially declared the conference open. The event witnessed participation of 73 students from eight schools in four committees: Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, Historic Crisis, and National Press.
Award winners included Shaunak Yogi, Khushi Mundra, Misthi Vyas, Maheen Rizwan, Swati Krishnan, and Chavi Gupta. Delhi World Public School, Ajmer was named Best Delegation, while St. Anthony’s, Udaipur was the runner-up.
At the closing ceremony, Siddharth Rajhans, global diplomat and professor, delivered an insightful address urging students to become global changemakers.
The event was a resounding success, fostering leadership, debate, and public speaking skills. The school expressed heartfelt gratitude to Maharani Sahiba for her inspiring presence.
