Four out of five top ranked universities offering medicine and allied courses in the recently released Indian Institutional Ranking Framework (IIRF) 2025 are from Karnataka.
Among them are top ranked Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara University of Dharwad, M S Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, Bengaluru, Dr. Chandramma Dayananda Sagar Institute of Medical Education and Research, Bengaluru and Adichunchanagiri University, Mandya.
The rankings evaluate over 5,000 higher education institutions across India, including more than 500 universities. Universities and colleges have been assessed based on various parameters including Placement Performance (PP), Teaching Learning Resources & Pedagogy (TLRP), Research (Volume, Income, and Reputation) (RS), Industry Income and Integration (III), Placement Strategies & Support (PSS), Future Orientation (FO), External Perception & International Outlook (EPIO). These parameters collectively provide a comprehensive evaluation of an institution’s academic and research excellence, industry engagement, and global outlook.
