On November 18, Institute of Management Studies (IMS), Noida hosted an International Education Fair 2016 at its campus located at Sector 62, Noida. Top ranked universities from Ireland, UK and Canada offered scholarships and courses to students. The university representatives discussed about global education system and counselled the students about the various courses they could opt for.
On the occasion, Dr. K.J.S Anand, executive director of IMS Noida said, “Internationalisation of education is necessary to meet the new challenges faced by students and teachers in present times. IMS Noida is committed towards improvement in education pedagogy and encouraging talented students to get an exposure of global platform under the Government’s new education policy.”
According to Aisling Lennon, of National University of Ireland, Galway, Ireland, “Indian students are rich in talent and the university will be looking forward to receive them in large numbers. Also, we would be supporting IMS Noida in this noble endeavor of Internationalisation of education in future as well.”
While addressing the students during the fair, Dr D J Pati, dean Academics, IMS Noida said, “Competition for success has increased in present times. The current need of the hour is to promote job oriented education rather than adopting conventional method of education just to pursue a degree. Recently Ministry of Human Resource development (Government of India) made the proposed New Education Policy public, where Internationalisation of education was stressed upon. We support this move and want our students to get global exposure in education.”
