Inclusion at Ecole Globale International School

Everyone thinks differently. Some people think in a more linear way; others in a more creative way. Some people think in words; others in pictures. Our brains all work in their own unique ways. Which means differences in how the brain processes information; differences that affect skills like reading, writing, math, and focus.

We all take in information through our senses — our eyes, our ears. Then our brain processes this information and we take the appropriate action in response. People who learn and think differently process this information in a different way. And it can create many challenges. These challenges make it harder for them to learn or access education than most children of the same age.

What is most important is that nearly all children with special educational needs are able to reach their full potential with additional support and understanding. In comparison to their peers, they may need extra or individualised guidance based on a range of needs and learning styles.

The counselling and wellbeing team at Ecole works on the belief that every student has the potential to access and make progress towards any goal. Inclusion is an attitude we adopt in our interactions with one another. It is about intentionally planning for the success of all students by providing them the right atmosphere to enable them to succeed in the regular classroom and to nurture them to participate independently in society.

At Ecole, curriculum flexibility, adaptations and exemptions are offered at all grade levels. The special educators plan and provide flexible approaches that can be customised and adjusted for individual needs. Since we have a web of networks with organisations, which are effective referral systems, it makes the process of assessment, diagnosis and interventions much easier and quicker.

Therefore, based on the recommendations of these organisations, reading help, scribes, extra time, exemptions and alternative seating have also been arranged for children with learning difficulties.

Our Integration and Activity-Based Learning Program combines various subjects and real-world experiences to create a dynamic and exciting educational environment for our students. Through interactive activities, collaborative projects, and experiential learning, we encourage students to explore, question, and discover. This approach not only makes learning fun but also helps students develop critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

At Ecole Globale International Girls’ School, we are committed to offering an inclusive education that caters to the diverse needs of all learners.

Our programmes are designed to recognise and nurture each child’s unique strengths and abilities, enabling them to achieve their full potential.
