Campus

Spread across 110 acres, the campus houses the main library stocked with more than 54,000 volumes and 12 journals. In addition to this, there is a book-bank with more than 3000 books procured from the funds provided by the Social Welfare Department. Each of the engineering departments also have departmental libraries along with their own computer centres accessible to both staff and students. All departmental laboratories are modernised under the Modernisation and Removal of Obsolescence (MODROBS) scheme of all the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The university auditorium is equipped with an open air theatre for organising various functions. The student amenities include STD booth, photocopy centre, internet centre, fancy and bookstore, a State Bank of India branch, post office, a dispensary with a medical officer and a 60 seater bus for educational tours and technical visits.

General Information

Admission

BTech: Candidates must be 10+2 passed with physics and mathematics as major subjects with minimum 50 percent marks and selection is based on scores of EAMCET (Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test). Admission process is through EAMCET counselling or by enrollment with Jawaharlal Nehru Technology University, Kakinada. The admission dead line is September. MTech: Candidates must have completed BTech in Civil Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Electronics/Computer Science/Nuclear Engineering. Selection is based on GATE scores for non-sponsored candidates and an entrance test conducted by the university for sponsored and self-supporting candidates. For SSS-M Tech Programme, students must clear the entrance test and personal interview conducted by JNTU-Kakinada. The admission dead line is August. Accommodation

The college hostel provides accommodation to about 400 boys and 300 girls. The hostels and dining areas/food courts are equipped with all modern facilities.
